Garden Gnome Sculpted Mug- 19 fl. oz

This enchanting handmade mug features an alcove pressed into the clay, where a tiny gnome sits beside a sculpted mushroom, complete with a carved snail perched on top. Each mug is hand-sculpted and hand-carved with original artwork, making every piece truly one-of-a-kind. Perfect for lovers of whimsical, magical scenes and handcrafted art, this mug brings a touch of charm to every sip.

Each Mug is first thrown on a potter's wheel, then when the mug is dry enough a handle is attached. I then sketch my design before I carve into the clay. It is then placed into its first firing after it is completely dry. Once out of the bisque firing, I fill in the carvings with a black glaze to highlight the detail. I then use needle bottles to "paint" the scene with glazes. For the last step, it is placed back into the kiln for the final glaze firing to cone 6.
