Java Bear Mug- 18 fl. oz.

Enjoy your favorite beverage with a touch of woodland charm! This handmade mug features original artwork of a cute little bear sipping coffee by a cozy mountain campfire. Each mug is carefully hand-carved, making every piece unique and full of character. Perfect for nature lovers, animal enthusiasts, or anyone who enjoys a whimsical, handcrafted touch with their morning coffee or tea!

Each Mug is first thrown on a potter's wheel, then when the mug is dry enough a handle is attached. I then sketch my design before I carve into the clay. It is then placed into its first firing after it is completely dry. Once out of the bisque firing, I fill in the carvings with a black glaze to highlight the detail. I then use needle bottles to "paint" the scene with glazes. For the last step, it is placed back into the kiln for the final glaze firing to cone 6.
